Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a collaborative and confidential process that aims to support individuals in addressing emotional challenges, improving their well-being, and achieving personal growth. In my practice I come from a person centered approach which is highly individualized and tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Whether one is struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or any other mental health concern, psychotherapy offers an opportunity for self-discovery, healing, and personal transformation.

Family & Child Therapy

Family and child therapy, rooted in the Adlerian approach, is a collaborative and holistic process that aims to support the growth, well-being, and harmonious functioning of both the child and the entire family unit. Adlerian family and child therapy recognize the interconnectedness of family dynamics and the crucial role they play in shaping a child's development by putting an emphasis on exploring their unique strengths, challenges, and patterns of interaction. Through a combination of play therapy, family sessions, and individual counseling, the therapist helps children express their emotions, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies. Additionally, the therapist guides parents in understanding their child's behavior, fostering positive parenting techniques, and enhancing communication within the family. Adlerian family and child therapy emphasize mutual respect, cooperation, and the importance of building strong connections within the family unit, ultimately promoting the healthy development and well-being of both the child and the family as a whole.

Trauma Thearpy

Trauma therapy using an exposure-based approach is specifically designed to help individuals overcome the distressing effects of traumatic experiences. In this therapy, clients work collaboratively with a skilled therapist to gradually confront and process the memories, emotions, and sensations associated with their trauma in a safe and controlled manner. This will gradually expose clients to trauma-related triggers or memories, allowing them to confront and process the distress they evoke. By repeatedly confronting the traumatic memories or triggers, individuals can reevaluate and update their understanding of the trauma, reduce avoidance behaviors, and alleviate the associated distress and anxiety. Exposure therapy is evidence-based and has shown remarkable success in helping individuals regain control over their lives, build resilience, and experience a greater sense of freedom from the burden of their traumatic experiences.
